Collection: Japanese Raku Series

"Raku" refers to a traditional Japanese pottery technique characterized by rapid firing and swift cooling, processes that result in the formation of cracks. These unpredictable cracks contribute to the aesthetic appeal and depth of the pottery. Raku firings, being both rare and costly, differ significantly from regular kiln firings, which are common in every pottery studio. Raku requires open-air conditions and demands specialized skills and considerable physical effort.

It is suitable for dried flowers and branches, which you'll receive as a gift upon purchasing any of the Raku ceramics from this series.

This pottery is not waterproof. Hand washing is recommended.
